Integrated Building Maintenance  Assistance Scheme

With effect from 1 July 2015, The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) integrates and enhances the Integrated Building Maintenance  Assistance Scheme (IBMAS) to tie in with the extension of its  service area to the whole of Hong Kong. The URA introduces the Green Item Subsidy (GIS) under the "Common Area Repair Works Subsidy" to encourage property owners to use environmentally-friendly building materials and install energy-saving facilities when carrying out building maintenance and repair works with reference to the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) Green Product Accreditation and Standards (HK G-PASS). The URA’s effort in promoting a greener environment through its building rehabilitation works was recognised by the HKGBC with the Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility Award (Statutory Bodies).
