URA's staff offered gift packs of mooncakes and fruit to the elderly affected by its projects in Tai Kok Tsui for the Mid-Autumn Festival.

14/01/06 Over 100 participants from the Kwun Tong community and other sectors articulated their aspirations and innovations in a workshop on the future design of the Kwun Tong Town Centre. 21/01/06 The Secretary for Housing, Planning and Lands Mr Michael M Y Suen (middle) presented a peach flower plant to the OC representative of the 100th rehabilitated building before the Chinese New Year.  Accompanied him were URA Chairman Mr Edward Cheng (second from left), URA Yau Tsim Mong District Advisory Committee Chairperson Miss Maria Tam Wai-chu and URA Managing Director Mr Billy Lam (right). 26/02/06 A series of community activities were organized for the Western Market's Centennial Celebration. 25/04/06 The Chief Executive Mr Donald Tsang Yam-kuen visited the Western Market. 24/06/06 URA Central & Western District Advisory Committee and the Concern Group on Urban Renewal Projects of the Central & Western District Council jointly organized a community workshop for public to express their views and aspirations on the furture design of the Peel Street/Graham Street project. 25/06/06 Street carnival at Portland Street, a community revitalization event organized by the URA, Hong Kong Playground Association and the management company of Langham Place. 05/07/06 The URA set up a temporary office in Kwun Tong to enhance communication. 10/08/06 Over 85,000 people have visited the exhibition of the three design concepts on display during the two-month consultation on Kwun Tong Town Centre project.  They included different sectors of the community, professional bodies and government departments. 27/08/06 "World of Wonders @ Portland Street", an event jointly organized by the URA and the community. 23/09/06 URA staff and their family members brought gift packs to the elderly and single-parent families affected by the redevelopment projects in Sham Shui Po before the Mid-Autumn Festival. 02/02/07 "The Chinese Herb Garden" which is situated in the URA's Queen Street redevelopment project, promotes Chinese medicine education and highlights the unique traditional character of Sheung Wan. 10/03/2007 Over 100 participants shared views in the community workshop on how to strengthen vibrancy of the Sneaker Street.¡]From left¡^URA Managing Director Mr. Billy Lam, URA Chairman Mr. Edward Cheng, URA Yau Tsim Mong District Advisory Committee Chairperson Mrs. Peggy Lam and Chairman of Yau Tsim Mong District Council Mr. Chan Man-yu. 31/03/07 URA staff conducted a freezing survey on the commencement of the Kwun Tong Town Centre project. 14/04/2007 Local leaders and residents of the Sham Shui Po community gathered at a workshop jointly organized by URA's Sham Shui Po District Advisory Committee and Sham Shui Po District Council to explore possible ways forward for urban regeneration of the district as a blueprint for all concerned.
19/04/07 A milestone event for 200 rehabilitated buildings cum Best Rehabilitated Building Award Presentation Ceremony is held at Blake Garden, Sheung Wan in April 2007. Secretary for Housing, Planning and Lands the Hon Michael Suen is the officiating guest. 11/05/2007 Information and design models of Kwun Tong Town Centre project are on display for public viewing at the URA's Kwun Tong Office at Hip Wo Street.   23/07/07 The URA sets up a Neighbourhood Centre on Gage Street, Central to serve the affected residents. 22/09/2007 About 30 URA staff and their family members offer gift packs to the elderly living in Yu Lok Lane/Centre Street and Staunton Street/Wing Lee Street projects for the Mid-Autumn Festival. 14/10/07 On the occasion of the 10th Anniversary of HKSAR, the URA, Buildings Department and Hong Kong Housing Society jointly organize the Building Safety Carnival at the Victoria Park to promote the importance of building rehabilitation. 08/12/2007 The URA holds a community workshop for the Staunton Street/Wing Lee Street project to solicit community views on the planning and design of the project. 09/12/07 The "New Face in Central" Exhibition organized by the Conservation Advisory Panel under the URA's Central & Western District Advisory Committee is held at the Western Market.  All shops participated in the event have long history in the Central and Sheung Wan. 10/12/2007 URA's staff and their family members together with the Social Service Team clean up the common areas of the two residential buildings in the Kwun Tong Town Centre project for the new year. 10/01/08 The URA participates in the three-month Hong Kong & Shenzhen Bi-city Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture, sharing the URA's holistic approach in urban renewal.
