Question 7 : What are the guidelines for the URA's property acquisition? |

 |
Answer : The acquisition policy adopted by the URA is based on the revised Home Purchase Allowance (HPA) and the ex-gratia payments for non-domestic owners approved by the Finance Committee of Legislative Council in March 2001. Owner-occupiers of domestic properties will be offered the market value of the property plus a HPA, the assessment of which is based on a notional seven-year-old flat. Owners of commercial properties will be offered the market value of the property and an ex-gratia allowance.
