Our Approach Social Impact Assessment District Advisory Committees Urban Renewal Social Service Teams District Advisory Committees To understand local urban renewal needs and issues and to develop close links with the community, District Advisory Committees (DACs) have been set up where the URA will implement urban renewal projects - Sham Shui Po, Yau Ma Tei, Wan Chai, Central and Western, Kwun Tong, and Kowloon City. Committee members are drawn from the local community. Terms of reference: To advise on issues relating to urban renewal, including redevelopment, revitalization, rehabilitation and preservation in the district concerned; To reflect and advise on the concerns and aspirations of the community in the district on urban renewal; To enhance understanding by the community of URA's work; To report to URA's Community Affairs and Public Relations Committee.
