Invitation to Tender for Development of URA’s Peel Street/Graham Street Project (Site A)

The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Wednesday) invited a total of 42 property developers to tender for the development of Site A of the Peel Street/Graham Street project. 

The URA earlier invited interested developers to submit Expressions of Interest for the development, and a total of 43 submissions were received when the expression of interest exercise closed on 10 January 2017.  After careful consideration, a tender review panel under the URA Board has decided to invite 42 qualified property developers to tender for the project. 

The URA will provide the relevant tender documents and principal tender terms approved earlier by the URA Board to the qualified developers, based on which they can submit tenders for the development.  All tender submissions should reach the URA Headquarters at 26/F, COSCO Tower, 183 Queen's Road Central, by 12:00 noon on 20 February 2017 (Monday).  The URA reserves the right to reject any tender offer received after the specified closing time for the tender mentioned above. 

The tender review panel will later consider the tenders received and make recommendation to the URA Board for its decision on the award of a development agreement. 

The project is divided into three sites (Sites A, B and C) and is being implemented in phases.  The site being put up for development is Site A situated on Peel Street, which covers a site area of about 890 square metres.  Upon completion, it is planned to provide about 116 residential units with a total residential gross floor area of about 7,830 square metres, and a gross floor area of about 1,460 square metres for a multi-purpose activities hall and commercial purposes.  The site will also provide a public open space of not less than 300 square metres for the enjoyment of the general public. 

The successful tenderer will be required to develop the project in compliance with the standard and quality requirements, the environmentally-sustainable provisions and "smart" provisions in respect of home energy and water consumption system, home health and wellness system, smart display, home waste management system, building information modelling, and building management system, etc. as set out in the development agreement to create a sustainable living environment.
