Proposed Redevelopment

The Bailey Street / Wing Kwong Street Development Project is implemented in accordance with the newly promulgated "Urban Renewal Strategy" ("URS") which includes the flat-for-flat option to be offered as an additional option to cash compensation to the domestic owner-occupiers. They can consider taking cash compensation or using it to buy a new flat in-situ in the new development or in the Kai Tak development.

The URA's initial proposal is to redevelop the project to provide about 1,150 small to medium sized residential units and commercial / retail podia at the lower floors, tentatively scheduled for completion by 2025/26.
