Youth education

The URA attaches importance in inspiring young people to explore the urban renewal issues from different perspectives. Through the collaboration and partnership programmes with various organisations, the URA has implemented a wide range of education and outreach programmes, such as guided tours to Urban Renewal Exploration Centre, docent tours to old urban areas and URA’s projects, talks and inter-school competitions.

Interactive electronic platforms, such as “Urban Renewal Exploration Centre” Mobile App, have provided teachers and students with instant information of urban renewal for experiential learning whereas the “Urban Renewal Web Academy” has been created to complement the General Studies of Primary Schools, Integrated Humanities/Life and Society Curriculum, Geography and Liberal Studies or senior secondary levels, with an aim to stimulate the students to better understand URA’s work and the urban renewal issues.
