Nearly 70% of “Starter Homes” Units at the URA’s eResidence Tower 3 Sold

The URA today (28 March 2024) completed all the flat selection and sales procedures for 260 units at eResidence Tower 3 (Tower 3), a URA Starter Homes for Hong Kong Residents (SH) Project. 

In early March, the URA invited eligible applicants for flat selection at its Cheung Sha Wan sales office by mail in batches according to the order of their priority numbers assigned previously.  As of the closing date (today), 233 qualified applicants had attended the flat selection sessions.  A total of 173* (67%) available units were sold, representing a flat selection success rate of 74%.  One-bedroom units were the most popular with all 125 units being sold out.  30 two-bedroom units and 18 three-bedroom units were also sold.

By providing residential units at discounted prices, the SH projects aim to cater for the housing needs of those who have relatively higher incomes but are unable to afford private housing and are ineligible for the Home Ownership Scheme.  Hong Kong residents who have lived in Hong Kong for a minimum of seven years and have never owned any residential property in Hong Kong are eligible to apply for the SH Projects.

The URA plans to roll out the remaining SH units at eResidence Tower 3, as and when appropriate, after seeking approval from the URA Board and discussing with the Government on the sales arrangements.

*Number of units with signed Preliminary Agreement for Sale and Purchase; the final units sold shall be subject to the entries made into the Register of Transactions.
