Reopening of URA facilities

In view of the Government’s phased resumption of public services as epidemic situation stabilises, the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) announces today (17 February 2021) that its facilities will reopen on 18 February 2021 (Thursday).

The Urban Renewal Exploration Centre (UREC) and SPORTS EXPO will resume its visiting sessions on 18 February.  The online booking services of the two facilities (UREC: and SPORTS EXPO: has resumed with immediate effect for public booking.   The UREC’s docent services at old urban district and SPORTS EXPO’s group visiting sessions will remain suspended until further notice.

The community space, exhibition areas and multi-purpose rooms at H6 CONET, 7 Mallory Street and 618 Shanghai Street will reopen on 18 February.

In accordance with the Government anti-epidemic requirements and restrictions, two additional infection control measures will be imposed on the community space, exhibition areas and multi-purpose rooms of the above mentioned venues.  These measures include:

  1. Visitors are required to scan the venue QR code of “LeaveHomeSafe” displayed at the entrances, or to register their names, contact numbers and the time of the visit.
  2. All staff assigned to the operation of the venues will be required to undergo COVID-19 nucleic acid test every 14 days.

In addition, the meeting rooms and multi-purpose room at the Urban Renewal Resource Centre located in Tai Kok Tsui will reopen and public booking has resumed with immediate effect.

The implementation of infection control measures will continue at the URA’s facilities to reduce the risk of infection and the spread of the virus.  These measures include limiting the number of visitors for each visiting session, providing alcohol hand sanitizer, and stepping up the cleansing of the facilities at the venues.
