Re-appointment of Executive Director of URA
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (3 October 2025) welcomes the Government’s re-appointment of Ms Carolin Fong Suet-yuen as the Executive Director of the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) for another term of three years with effect from today.
Ms Fong will continue to take up the position of Executive Director (Operations), supporting the URA Managing Director in the formulation and implementation of policies and initiatives on building rehabilitation, acquisition and clearance, works and contract, and legal matters.
The URA Chairman, Mr Chow Chung-kong, said, “Over the past three years, Carolin has made substantial contributions to the advancement of redevelopments and promotion of rehabilitation of buildings in older districts. She has played a key role in promoting sustainability across the URA’s business and operational areas, as well as in the ongoing review of the URA’s financing and operating model.
The Board and I look forward to continuing to work closely with her to advance the important cause of urban renewal and to promote its long-term sustainable development.”
On welcoming Ms Fong’s re-appointment, Ar Donald Choi, Managing Director of the URA said he is pleased to continue working closely with Carolin to advance the URA’s mission.
