URA Sets Up Dedicated Hotline to Handle Enquiries from Wang Fuk Court Owners on the Release of OBB 2.0 Subsidy by Cheque
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) has arranged cheques for Operation Building Bright 2.0 (OBB 2.0) subsidies payable to owner-occupier or elderly owner-occupier of Wang Fuk Court, based on the information provided in their application forms. These cheques have been delivered to Hop On Management Company Limited (Hop On), the appointed administrator for Wang Fuk Court, for onward distribution to individual owners. The URA emphasises that the recipient of the subsidy must be an eligible owner under OBB 2.0 or their legal heir. The URA has been recently notified by Hop On that it has received enquiries from some Wang Fuk Court owners regarding the cheques. Following discussions with Hop On, the URA has set up a dedicated hotline today (9 February 2026) to directly address related enquiries

URA & GDCD Association Co-organise Inclusive Sports & CNY Festive Event “Yue Man Hops” to Foster Community Ties and Vibrancy of Kwun Tong Town Centre
The GDCD Association and the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) are hosting “Yue Man Hops” (the Event), an event that combines inclusive sports experiences with a Chinese New Year (CNY) market. Taking place from 7 to 8 February 2026 (Saturday to Sunday) at the Free Space and Triangular Piazza in YM², Kwun Tong, the Event aims to enhance public awareness of para-sports and convey the athletes’ perseverance and indomitable spirit. URA Issues Acquisition Offers to Property Owners of Ma Tau Wai Road / Lok Shan Road Development Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (28 January 2026) issued acquisition offers to property owners affected by Ma Tau Wai Road/ Lok Shan Road Development Project (Project*) in Kowloon City. Eligible owner-occupiers of domestic properties of the Project will be offered $14,807 per square foot of saleable area. The rate was determined in accordance with the existing acquisition policy established in 2001, which is the unit rate of a seven-year-old notional replacement flat situated in the same locality (Notional Unit Rate). The URA appointed seven independent consultancy firms selected by open ballot to assess the Notional Unit Rate. The Award Presentation Ceremony for the “Urban Renewal Design Ideas Competition - The District Study for Yau Ma Tei and Mong Kok”, jointly organised by the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) and The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA), was successfully held this evening (27 January 2026) at Central Market. The event brought together over 100 industry professionals to celebrate the winning entries. URA Welcomes the Government’s Resumption of Land at Kau Pui Lung Road / Chi Kiang Street in Kowloon City
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) welcomes the Government’s resumption of land at Kau Pui Lung Road / Chi Kiang Street in Kowloon City under the Lands Resumption Ordinance for the implementation of URA’s Kau Pui Lung Road / Chi Kiang Street Development Scheme in Kowloon City (CBS-2:KC / the Project). In response to the Policy Address 2018 and 2019 by the Chief Executive, the URA identified one or two clusters of Civil Servants’ Co-operative Building Society (CBS) Scheme sites suitable for high-density development as pilot sites to increase housing supply by full utilising their development potential. Responses by URA to Government Motion on Support and Rebuilding Work after the Fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po
In response to the Government Motion on support and rebuilding work after the fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, which was tabled at the Legislative Council today (14 January 2026), a spokesperson for the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) stated that the URA has been working closely with the Government to enhance support for building owners and owners’ corporations (OCs) in organising building maintenance projects. With regard to the Government’s proposed measures to further strengthen the URA’s “Smart Tender” service to better assist owners and OCs in tendering and appointing consultants and contractors for building maintenance works, the URA fully supports the initiatives and will carry out detailed study and explore implementation arrangement in collaboration with the Government. The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (8 January 2026) issued acquisition offers to property owners affected by Sai Yee Street / Flower Market Road Development Scheme (the Project*) in Mong Kok. Eligible owner-occupiers of domestic properties of the Project will be offered $15,377 per square foot of saleable area, which is the unit rate of a seven-year-old notional replacement flat situated in the same locality (Notional Unit Rate). In addition, eligible domestic owner-occupiers of the Project will be offered a purchase right of “Flat-for-Flat” unit in the future development to be constructed on the Project site as an additional option to cash compensation.
