Project commencement was gazetted on 3 June 2016.
The Secretary for Development (SDEV) has considered the project and the related information and authorized the URA to proceed with the project without any amendment on 22 February 2017. The SDEV's decision was published in the Gazette on 3 March 2017.
The URA issued acquisition offers to owners to acquire the affected property interests on 7 July 2017. Cash compensation or rehousing to eligible tenants will be provided upon successful acquisition of the properties.
Targeted completion by 2025/26.
The project is implemented in accordance with the "Urban Renewal Strategy" ("URS") (2011) which includes the flat-for-flat options as an alternative option to cash compensation to domestic owner-occupiers. They can consider cash compensation or using it to buy a new flat-for-flat in-situ in the new development or in the same district or in Kai Tak development.
